Altie Lannom resides in Herrin, Illinois, where he is the Regional Pro Staff Manager for waterfowl in the Mississippi Flyway for Mossy Oak Brand Camo. His hunting career began at age six, with his father and grandfather.

Altie began competition calling in 1990 at age 16. He is a two-time Illinois State Goose Calling Champion and Kansas State Goose Calling Champion. In 2000 he won the World Open Goose Calling Championship, and in 2001 along with partner Trent Allman, won the World 2-Man Team Goose Calling title. He has over 60 top five finishes. Until the birth of his two sons Drake and Chase, Altie was guiding waterfowl hunters 140+ days per year.

Altie can be seen on Higdon Decoys Extreme Waterfowling 2 and 3 DVD’s, Top Ten Questions about the Canada Goose DVD by Tim Grounds, and the Super Mag Mania Instructional CD by Tim Grounds, on several television shows and in magazine articles.

In 2009 Altie started the Lannom Call Company, where he makes custom goose, duck, and turkey calls. He is currently working on a line of DVD’s.

Altie also enjoys turkey hunting, deer hunting, and tournament bass fishing. He loves planting trees and food plots on his hunting grounds. His two young sons keep him busy and are beginning to show much interest in tagging along with dad in the woods and around the lake, as Altie did when he was younger.

Altie and his wife, Marisa, own a construction company, and hope their sons will carry on both family businesses, and learn to love the land and the outdoors and all it has to offer.
