Wrangler Hunting-shooting line features new styles and industry's newest hunting camo pattern

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Jan. 14, 2010) – Wrangler® ProGear™ today announced its 2010 line of professional hunting and shooting apparel including pants, shirts and jackets. Three of the most popular hunting pants currently in the line will soon be offered in the industry's most talked about new camo pattern, Break-Up Infinity.

Break-Up Infinity, from pattern-maker Mossy Oak, superimposes details like leaves, limbs, acorns, and branches over layers of photographic images from the woods. The visual impression is a 3-D effect that more effectively blends the hunter into the scene. The Wrangler ProGear 5-Pocket Camo Jean, 9-Pocket Hunter Pant and Thermal Camo Jean will all be available in Break-Up Infinity.

Hunters and shooters will get tipped off to what's coming – the newest styles hit retail stores in the fall and winter of 2010 and 2011– as the entire collection is displayed for the first time during the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas Jan. 19 to 22 at the brand’s exhibit #11616. The popular outdoor show attracts buyers from all 50 states and more than 75 countries.

“The debut of the latest line of Wrangler ProGear clothing during this year’s SHOT Show will demonstrate some of the new advances Wrangler is incorporating in its outdoor wear,” said Joanna Bragdon, marketing coordinator for Wrangler Outdoor Brands. “I’m looking forward to seeing both retailer and consumer reactions to the innovations, updated patterns and styles.”

New styles from Wrangler ProGear include the Camo Accent Twill Shirt, Canvas Hooded Jacket, a 100 percent ripstop cotton Shooter Shirt, and the Camo Ranger Pant, also made with tough cotton ripstop. Cotton ripstop is a breathable but durable fabric reinforced by cross-weaves to provide more strength and tear resistance.

Among the Wrangler ProGear innovations is a series of design elements – room2move™ fit – providing greater freedom of movement, even in confined spaces like tree stands. For example, the Camo Accent Twill Shirt, Flannel Field Shirt and Guide Shirt have extra panels of fabric down the arms and side. This side gusset lets hunters and target shooters reach and rotate as necessary for more accurate delivery.

This year, Wrangler ProGear will continue to offer its signature Upland Jean with briar-resistant front panels as well as an array of tops and bottoms featuring the proven Realtree all-Purpose HD camo. Distinguished by its lighter, more open and neutral-toned pattern, Realtree AP pattern offers hunters a visually compelling pattern with unmatched depth, detail and contrast that will continue to be effective even after many home-laundry washes and hunts under demanding conditions. These styles offering Realtree AP include the quiet Flannel Field Shirt, high-visibility Guide Shirt, Camo Pocket Tees with long or short sleeves, Women's Camo Jean, Boys' Camo Jean, and Pro Stalker Jacket.

Wrangler ProGear is sold through specialty retailers such as Cabela's, Tractor Supply Co., Capra’s Sporting Goods and Gander Mountain to hunters, target shooters and other outdoor enthusiasts.
